Wow! I can't believe how fast the month of January flew by! Its the 25th already, which means I only have 15 days until I leave! It's pure crazyness. I am so incredible excited to begin this journey God has for me, to make new friends, and to see more of the world! Some of you may be shocked to read this, but yes, even though it is very exciting, its also frightening as well! I've never moved away, per se, as what I am basically doing. I'm leaving everything I've known for 18 years of my life- family, friends, everyone from New Hope, and wonderful little Grants Pass itself-to travel by myself halfway accross the world to live in another country with people I don't know! I have begun to make at least one friendship with another girl who is going to be in my DTS(through facebook/email), which is very comforting. There was a facebook group made for the Frontiers DTS, and there are 10 members so far. It is awesome to get to know everyone alittle bit before we meet each other, and sharing likes and dislikes. Also, as some of you know, I am still short alot of money for this trip! So even saying that I am still going at this point could be considered complete insanity, but the leaders from they YWAM base and my DTS are so very encouraging about it!! So many people have been uplifting me and the situation up in prayer, I know that God is in complete control of the outcome. And the fact that I have been able to be in contact with some of the leaders, and they have given my superb guidance, is also great because I know they will be awesome teachers!
Overall, I am having bittersweet emotions. I am sad to have to say goodbye temporarily to familiarity and family and friends, but I know that this journey will be worthwhile and incredible!
